We couldn’t speak Haitian Creole – but we spent a week at the school, the orphanage, the homeless shelter, villages by the sea and a village on top of the mountain, the dump, the church, and a week at the mission home, showing the people of Haiti that Jesus loves them and we love them too – being Jesus with Skin on – having our heart broken with the things that break the heart of God – observing how disciples are made. In the United States we make lots of Christians, but few disciples. Jesus never asked us to make Christians, he asked us to make disciples. Everything about Tom Osbeck and Jesus in Haiti Ministries is making disciples. We’re drawing up a plan to become the JiMM branch of JiHM. (Jesus in Minnesota Ministries / Jesus in Haiti Ministries) We came to be the giver and we left as the receiver! John 20:21 “As the Father as sent me, I am sending you.” “You, Me, let’s go!
