I know economic times appear tough in the US and around the world, but the worst day for most Americans is still better than the average day for a Haitian. In the US, roughly 90% of the population is employed; the average in Haiti is about 40%. The average wages in the US are $104 per day, in Haiti about $2 per day for the more fortunate ones.

I am reaching out to you to support our ministry in an exciting way during 2009-2010.

As we continue to make disciples and shine the light of Jesus at Jesus in Haiti Ministries, we find ourselves simply overwhelmed by the growing needs of those we serve. The majority of people in Haiti are simply surviving day-to-day. In Haiti, because most of the food must be imported, the situation is even more extreme than most.

On August 1st, our ministry kicked off the second year of JiH's 365 Club. I hope you'll be eager to commit to the very exciting way we have decided to raise a portion of our much needed funds for the next 12 months. We would like to ask you to join our 365 Club. What we seek are 365 friends of JiH who will choose ONE day during the year, August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010, to support a portion of the JiH ministry. The day you choose will be your day to help sponsor our missions activities. This will include the following:

� Water for our 90+ orphans and staff at Good Samaritan
� Food and drinks for our 100 students and staff at Grace Emmanuel School
� Food and drinks for Tom's family of 25
� Fuel for the generator and vehicles of the mission home
� Two Grace Emmanuel teacher's pay
� Victory Bible Church pastor's pay
� Medical Fund

I am asking 365 of you to commit to sponsoring ONE day for the entire year, your donation comes to about 60 cents per day. In the United States, for 60 cents per day you can buy a cup of coffee (perhaps), a newspaper or candy bar, but not much more. However, by instead committing to help the Jesus in Haiti ministry, you can change the world for some of Haiti's poorest people. For your ONE DAY, we can simply assign you a day on our calendar, or you can choose a day that has significance to you.
